Alabama woman to sue after company mistakenly demolished home

Mobile, Ala. – Jennifer Pulliam is familiar with who mistakenly demolished her residence in Alabama before this year. But when the secret is solved, the authorized battle is just beginning.

More than a weekend in January, an individual came on to Pulliam’s home next to the Cell Fairgrounds and tore down a dwelling that had been in her family because the 1960s, WKRG reports.

“I moved here when I was roughly 10 several years previous. This is my grandparent’s old homeplace. They acquired it in 1965 and it is been in our family members at any time because,” she mentioned.

Pulliam, who life and performs in Leaksville, Mississippi, sooner or later got phrase about the demolition by a relatives member.

“They didn’t know that I was unaware of it till they observed the information story and then they contacted me,” she reported.

“I cried for two times,” Pulliam included. “I was devastated.”

Other family members customers saw the story, which aired on WKRG, and contacted Pulliam with the title of a business witnessed on the house that weekend in January.

Pulliam stated a Cell Police investigator contacted the development corporation and the proprietor confessed to demolishing the property, expressing it was a blunder.

“I was not content for the reason that they mentioned they could not arrest them because there was no destructive intent … I would just have to sue them in civil court,” Pulliam stated.

Pulliam, who had not publicly named the company on the tips of her attorney, said she is arranging to file a lawsuit. She also claimed that the company’s house owners have not contacted her to present an apology — or anything at all else.

As for what form of damages she hopes to get better, Pulliam did not quickly have an total in thoughts.

“I’m not positive what they will appear up with or how they will appear up with it — that household to me is priceless.”
