Damar Services opening housing elaborate for grownups with disabilities

Building on the initially phases of Damar Village, housing intricate designed specially for grownups with disabilities, is nearing completion.

Within the row of houses adjacent to Damar Services’ most important campus, there’s paint to touch up and finishes to use. Outside, the mounds of dirt alongside freshly poured sidewalks will be remodeled into sensory gardens.

For many years, Damar Companies has presented outpatient, local community-based and household well being services to Hoosiers with developmental and physical disabilities. The 13-acre Damar Village, adjacent to the agency’s major campus on the city’s southwest facet, will eventually present housing to 120 older people with disabilities.

Jenny Peters-Reece, Damar’s main system officer, reported Phase II is on track to be completed this summer season, while Stage III is envisioned to open up sometime in 2022.
