Entryway by Ana Claudia Schultz Style

Generating a sense of escape was crucial to designer Ana Claudia Schultz, who undertook the transformation of the entrance lobby and hall for this year’s present dwelling. To convey the outdoors in, Schultz papered the walls in an abstract mountain print from Fromental. The carpet mats from Liza Phillips evoke the close by Hudson River, which is obvious from the residence. Overhead, a gold leaf and blue ombre chandelier from Currey & Company is representative of sunshine and sky.

Textures in the room were being equally intentional, Schultz tells Ad Pro. She provides, “The vestibule has a plaster finish on the ceiling also representing the sky. The textures of the plasterwork have an organic and natural good quality symbolizing character.”

Eating Home by Hendley & Co

In the home’s eating house, Hendley & Co of Newburgh, New York, turned to locally sourced objects and decorative painter Mark Turner to deliver a gleefully unexpected layer to the room’s layout. “We needed to produce the illusion of becoming within just a painting, a pretty big nod to Rothko,” states owner Jessica Williams. The staff picked a palette that “celebrates the wealthy harvest-like tones in the leaves, sunset, and landscape found in Hudson Valley this time of 12 months.”

An eclectic combine of parts can make up the eating space.
