Authorities are making an attempt to decide if a huge fire early Thursday at a house construction website in southwest Las Vegas is similar to a significant January blaze at apartments underneath building in the identical spot.
Clark County Deputy Fire Main Warren Whitney said firefighters had been termed at 1:48 a.m. to Coja Road and Desert Cassia Avenue, in the vicinity of Russell Highway and Durango Drive, for a fire at a home design web site. The fireplace burned 10 residences beneath construction to the floor, producing about $1 million in problems.
