Currently I’m again sharing this sweet tiny sign…

blue sign before makeover

Since it is by now a indicator and has a pleasant hanging wire on the back again, I figured I’d maintain it a indicator.
Properly, type of.

You can hang it or sit it on a shelf, either way.

Right here is what it appears to be like like now…

Just a minor various, huh? lol

Effectively, guess what? Yep…I pulled out a further sheet of that very long-shed scrapbook paper I had stashed absent and utilized it.

You can see above that I established a crease by pressing together the edges of the board for cutting.

See below?

Then I used a slender layer of my Decoupage Gel

…and connected the scrapbook paper.

Once it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a pleasant thoroughly clean line like you see beneath.

edge of sign smooth

I love that tiny trick! Functions so nicely. (on material decoupage far too)

Then I printed (in reverse) out the words “on island time…” and organized them on the signal exactly where I required them.

I rubbed about them with the pencil to transfer the ink from the inkjet.

Then all you have to do is use a little artist’s brush to paint more than the lettering. (something like this brush works extremely properly)

I used white paint for the letters.

I went back above places that had been much too skinny and then decided to increase shadowing.

white lettering with gray shadows

I like to print out the terms with a “shadow” and it shows you almost everywhere you have to have to include it.

Doesn’t that just make the letters pop??

And lastly, I scorching glued a little one starfish to the entrance to complete it up.

Fantastic for that seaside-themed property or cottage by the sea. 🙂
