Develop your possess “On Island Time” indicator simply with scrapbook paper and easily transferred lettering with paint!
Hey friends!
I hope you are acquiring a amazing week. We have been traveling and visiting spouse and children (and mates) in the fantastic condition of South Carolina. (some in the Charleston location and some in the upstate)
If you abide by together over on Instagram, you could have seen a tiny of the trip. Enjoyable, enjoyable!
On Island Time Indication
Currently I’m again sharing this sweet tiny sign…
Since it is by now a indicator and has a pleasant hanging wire on the back again, I figured I’d maintain it a indicator.
Properly, type of.
You can hang it or sit it on a shelf, either way.
Right here is what it appears to be like like now…
Just a minor various, huh? lol
Effectively, guess what? Yep…I pulled out a further sheet of that very long-shed scrapbook paper I had stashed absent and utilized it.
You can see above that I established a crease by pressing together the edges of the board for cutting.
See below?
Then I used a slender layer of my Decoupage Gel …
…and connected the scrapbook paper.
Once it was dry, I took a piece of sandpaper and rubbed the edges to get a pleasant thoroughly clean line like you see beneath.
I love that tiny trick! Functions so nicely. (on material decoupage far too)
Then I printed (in reverse) out the words “on island time…” and organized them on the signal exactly where I required them.
I rubbed about them with the pencil to transfer the ink from the inkjet.

You can see how nicely this performs beneath.
Then all you have to do is use a little artist’s brush to paint more than the lettering. (something like this brush works extremely properly)
I used white paint for the letters.
I went back above places that had been much too skinny and then decided to increase shadowing.
I like to print out the terms with a “shadow” and it shows you almost everywhere you have to have to include it.
Doesn’t that just make the letters pop??
And lastly, I scorching glued a little one starfish to the entrance to complete it up.
Fantastic for that seaside-themed property or cottage by the sea. 🙂
Another quite very simple 1! Loving all the decoupage I’ve been executing recently.
It is been so substantially entertaining to completely transform these outdated, tired parts!
PIN it to help save it!
I’ll be back up coming week with this a person! (I Adore how this one particular turned out and cannot wait to share it with you)
Have a wonderful weekend!!
xoxo
