Take a look inside this 6-bedroom, U-shaped Bluffview home on a private, landscaped lot
Spring has sprung in Texas, and this Bluffview home provides plenty of opportunities to enjoy a sunny day outside. The home has 10,335 square feet of interior space, a large covered patio, an outdoor kitchen, two pools and a fire pit.
The home at 4519 Cherokee Trail sits on 0.85 acres, The layout of the home is U-shaped and provides privacy in the backyard.
“The house sits really beautifully on the lot,” co-listing agent Ilene Christ said, adding that she considers the Bluffview neighborhood to be one of the prettiest neighborhoods in Dallas.
It was originally built as a speculative home, and the sellers added elements like custom lighting, luxury wallpaper and extensive landscape work after they bought the house. Most of the living happens on the first floor, with a secluded set of bedrooms on the second floor.
While the home has a Mediterranean-like tile roof, Christ said the home is transitional on the interior. Formal living and dining rooms flank the entryway and look onto the front of the property. The home’s primary living areas flow together in an open-concept design. Two additional living rooms, or family rooms, sit on either end of the open-concept section, with the kitchen and breakfast room joining them in the middle.
The large family room has vaulted ceilings and a wall of windows that offer views of the property. The kitchen centers around a large island, and cabinets and tile accents are done in darker tones that contrast the overall light and airy feel of the design.
Built in 2014, three of the six bedrooms are on the first floor. The primary suite features a walk-in closet (complete with space for a washer and dryer) and a separate tub and shower in the bathroom. Two more bedrooms are on the first floor, and the remaining three are on the second level.
Christ said one of the upstairs rooms could be used as a media room with its own nearby full bathroom or converted into a seventh bedroom. For larger families, the upstairs spaces can provide a secluded space for children, Christ said.
“It’s almost like they have their own separate area,” she said.
Outside, the home has multiple living spaces. The back patio has an outdoor kitchen, and the space is complete with misters to keep visitors cool in hotter weather. The main pool spills over into a lap pool that, according to the listing, was built for a professional swimmer. The home also has four garages.
The home is listed for $6,500,000 by Missy Woehr and Ilene Christ of Compass.
